Thursday the 16th of August 2018 marked an important day in the history of Kyloe Partners. It was the official opening of our new office located at Custom House and we had a launch party to celebrate the occasion.
The office opening event brought together all the people who made the move possible including Ruth Kirkpatrick from Highlands and Islands Enterprise whose continued support has been greatly appreciated, and Alaistair Carmichael, our local MP as well as builders, suppliers, and friends and family of our staff. We couldn’t have done this without them either!
Custom House is a building with a rich Orcadian history and is located on Orkneys busiest street in its capital, Kirkwall. Kyloe wanted to create an office building that was both functional and modern that would reflect our company culture and create a great employee experience for our staff. It’s a fitting place to match Kyloe’s ambitions over the next few years of doubling our number of Orkney based employees. Being in Custom House gives us the space to grow and create unique job opportunities for people in Orkney as well as the ability to attract skilled people to the island.
Co-Founding Director Stewart Morgan thanked everyone for attending and for their help making the move as smooth as possible. Then it was time for the ribbon cutting to officially open the offices at which point people were encouraged to go have a look around and explore. Kyloe wanted to make sure to put their unique style on the building, so came up with some creative names for the 3 different meeting rooms. As you enter the building you will enter “Meaty McMeeting place”, and as you continue through you will discover “How Now” and “Brown Cow” adjacent to each other.
It was a great evening and gave staff a chance to get to know each other's families as well as an opportunity to talk with the people working behind the scenes to get us up and going in the new building.
Everyone at Kyloe Partners is looking forward to this next chapter in our history.
