My role is varied, challenging, and satisfying
I work closely with our clients (who are located all over the globe), providing them with the solutions they need, and making sure they are getting the most out of the products we’ve built for them. In short, I implement Kyloe Apps on our clients CRM systems, and build the templates we've been asked to create, for those Apps. I then train them on how to use those Apps, and how to build their own templates. I also help run the support desk to answer any client queries.
I’ve always had an interest in computing
It was one of my chosen subjects at high school and college, and I went on to study video games design in university. I took a slight detour after leaving university and started working in the renewables industry as a surveyor, but was always keen to move into a more software focused role. Since starting at Kyloe I've never looked back; the work is varied, challenging, and satisfying, and I’ve been able to continue building on my skills whilst putting my existing knowledge into practice.
We've cultivated a genuinely friendly environment
The Kyloe culture is possibly my favourite aspect about working here. We’re encouraged to work in a way that suits us, and manage workloads as we see fit, which sets the scene for a welcoming working environment. The office itself (above) is a real bonus too. There’s a good social side too; every so often we’ll go out for an evening, or stay for a beer in the office on a Friday, which is a perfect way to end the week!
My advice for someone interested in joining the Kyloe team?
Find out as much detail about Kyloe and the role as you can and think about how you can enhance your skills to fit with the role requirements. If you’re someone who is enthusiastic about our ethos then definitely apply! Also, be yourself - it makes work far more enjoyable, and it means your employer knows you, and is in a better position to help you if you need it.
