I love being challenged – from 30-day plank challenges, to Tough Mudder (and lots more in between), I’ve taken part in quite a few and find reaching an end goal really rewarding.
Pre-COVID I was really active and doing lots of gym classes but that’s not possible at the moment – being at home all the time was fun to start with but six months on the novelty has worn off and I’ve developed some bad habits that I’d like to change.
I’ve set myself a mini goal of 50km a week. To help me reach this I’m planning to do a mixture of walking, hiking, running, and sea swimming. I’m really lucky to live by the beach and in such a naturally beautiful area – there’s also a lake, national parks, and cliff walks – the stunning scenery it helps to take your mind off the fact that you’re exercising!
We’ve missed so many opportunities to get the Kyloe team together this year – I’m really looking forward to working together as a company-wide team. Knowing that my colleagues in Orkney might be battling against the elements means I have no excuse for not going out because of a bit of rain!
