When recruiting and staffing company, Trace Staffing Solutions, decided to make the move to Bullhorn they were excited to start a new phase in their business journey. To assist in the transition, Kyloe were chosen to carry out the configuration, implementation, and training of the new CRM.
Trace are now over a year on from their go live and after a few bumps in the road, and have fully embraced Bullhorn. Raymond Pennie (Director, Kyloe Partners) caught up with Barbara Humphrey (Director of Training and Development, Trace Staffing Solutions) to get her recommendations for anyone planning to switch CRMs.
Raymond Pennie: If you could do this project again, knowing what you know now, how you would do it differently?
Barbara Humphrey: There are definitely a few things I wish I’d known at the start of our project! For anyone planning a similar move, my advice would be:
- Involve your super users during planning so that you can get your future processes correct. Buy in from the end user is essential, and if the experience is bad to begin with, it’s going to be a lot harder to get them to believe in your new CRM.
- Don’t be scared to stop and look at the bigger picture; if something doesn’t feel right, stop and re-evaluate together with your implementation partner. You might need to push your rollout back but it means you can get things back on track and you’re likely to benefit from better adoption once you are live.
- Make sure everyone has had enough training before, and at, go live. In addition to training sessions, Bullhorn now have a learning hub with courses that you can take, along with a knowledge base containing lots of help articles.
RP: How have your employees adapted to using Bullhorn?
BH: We’re now using Bullhorn almost 100%, and we’re really embracing the features it has to offer. The rollout wasn’t as smooth as we’d hoped but I’m glad to say that we love it now; it really is a great tool and I hope that my recommendations are useful to others!
RP: Have you made any further improvements since going live?
BP: We’ve continued to take advantage of Bullhorn’s flexibility and have made several further changes with the help of Kyloe since we went live, including three automations and also the integration of iCIMS and TextUs.
RP: Thanks Barbara, it has been a pleasure working with you on your journey and it shows that some of the strongest relationships are made during difficult times.
